The next JobKeeper extension runs 4th January 2021 to 28 March 2021.
Businesses with a turnover of $1 billion or less will need to have faced a minimum 30% fall in turnover to qualify. The ATO is expecting the turnover used to match the October to December 2019 and October to December 2020 BAS lodged. Alternative tests are available for other circumstances.
Businesses that didn't qualify for JobKeeper Extension 1 may still qualify for Extension 2, if they received the original JobKeeper rebate.
The rebates for the period will be $1,000 per fortnight for eligible employees who worked for 80 hours or more in the four weeks before 1 March 2020 or 1 July 2020, and $650 per fortnight for all other eligible employees.
